Breeder- and Progeny classes

Kennel Fallohide is the first breeder of basenjis and pharaoh hounds to win the competition for Breeder- and Progeny class at an international championship show in Denmark
In the early days a Breeders Class was made up by 5 dogs used once
Now a days only 4 dogs are required and the same dogs can be used time and time again - and no points are given anymore for the class to qualify.
So you see, it was more difficult in the beginning, like so many things are

A list of some of the placings with both basenjis & Pharaoh hounds

After many years of showing only red-white basenjis in Breeder- and  Progeny classes, I  decided to try something newand different: To show a group of 5 basenjis in 2 different colors: red/white and tri-color - and this was the result:

Progeny Class - Reserve Best in Show
Studdog/sire: Akuaba Bedeviled
Another unbeaten record by Kennel Fallohide

It was very difficult to win,  showing red/white and tri/color basenjis, however I am proud to say we were always placed !

My next goal/hope is to show a breeders class of either brindle or black/white basenjis! Ane here I am 10 years later with a litter of brindles and black/white, but not enough for a breeders class - one day, perhaps, who knows, it might be possible - otherwise Oliver will show the flag as sire to several litters of brindle basenjis.  A goal I unfortunately never was able to fullfill - Now in 2007, I have 3 basenjis, 2 are brindle and one is redwhite and I doubt I shall breed in future, just show a little now and again.  35 years is a lifetime and now I shall sit back and relax and watch our grandchildren win in the showring and this makes me proud
